Celebrity Chef Ainsley Harriott Adds Spice to New Cooplands Bakery Range

Beloved celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott has teamed up with local bakers Cooplands to add some spice to their summer ranges.  Inspired by his culinary travels around the world, Ainsley has worked with Cooplands’ skilled bakery team to create four fabulous new products that are sure to bring some extra heat to the summer months!

The Ainsley Harriott Mexican Chilli Pasty (£2.50) sees perfectly seasoned beef chilli con carne encased in flaky pastry topped with a smoked paprika crumble, while the Ainsley Harriott Jerk Chicken Pizza (£2.70) is a mouth tingling combination of jerk chicken, sharp cheddar, creamy mozzarella and a fiery chilli sauce.  Looking stateside, the range also includes an Ainsley Harriott New Yorker (£5/£5.50 as part of the Bakers Best Meal Deal), a soft country grain roll layered with seasoned pastrami and Cooplands own recipe creamy gherkin sauce & Emmental mix.  And no range would be complete without a sweet treat – Ainsley has taken Coopland’s indulgent brownie to create an Ainsley Harriott Chilli Brownie (£2.00), adding extra kick by infusing the dark chocolate with a chilli sauce and topping with fiery chilli & chocolate fudge. *

All of these spicy treats will be available in Cooplands shops across the North East, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire from Tuesday 9th June.  Ainsley fans will have the chance to meet him in person when he visits three Cooplands shops on the 9th & 10th June. On Tuesday 9th June Ainsley will be at the Crossgates Leeds shops between 10am – 12midday and then at York Monks Cross between 2pm -4pm.  He will then be at the Scarborough Westborough shop between 10am- 12 midday on Wednesday 10th June.

As well as the chance to meet Ainsley, up to 15 customers visiting each of the shops while he is there will have the chance to win a star prize bag. Two customers in each shop who manage to crack the ‘secret phrase’ will also win a signed Ainsley Harriott book and some extra Ainsley Harriott food goodies.
