With the increasing risks being presented by the Coronavirus outbreak, we wanted to let you know what we are doing to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff. We want to reassure you all that the safety of our customers and staff is our absolute priority.

This is what we are doing to keep everyone safe:

  • We continue to have extremely high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the business. As a food manufacturer and retailer, hygiene and food safety standards are and have always been our highest priority. Even before this unprecedented situation, our premises are cleaned thoroughly throughout and at the end of every day.

  • We have reminded and retrained staff on our robust hygiene procedures and are asking staff to wash their hands as often as possible for at least 20 seconds.

  • All retail staff have been told to clean their hands after handling money and before serving each new customer.

  • We have issued instructions that all worktops, prep areas, handles of ovens, fridges and doors are to be disinfected at least once an hour.

  • We’ve stopped any visitors to our offices or bakeries until further notice.

  • All Cooplands workers returning from travel are being assessed before they return to work. Anyone returning from a class 1 country are being told to self-isolate for 14 days.

  • All staff have been told of the symptoms of coronavirus and what to look out for. Any members of staff that have any symptoms will be told to go home and any area they have been working in will be fully disinfected.

Our shops and food-to-go vans will remain trading for as long as we are able to keep them open.

All Secret Garden and Orchard Cafes are currently closed until further notice.

Should this situation change in any of our shops we will put a notice in the window and provide information on your closest open shop. We will also keep the locations page on our website updated.

The other consequence of the reduced workforce could be that we need to reduce our product range to the most important products you enjoy. Our bakers and delivery drivers are working hard day and night to keep our shops stocked.

We are committed to serving our communities and are looking into ways we can offer home deliveries, to support those who are unable to leave their homes. We are working on getting a solution together and will be able to update soon.
