Cooplands ABST 2018

Cooplands bakery students have brought home another haul of trophies from the Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST) annual conference and competition.

The event, held at Alton Towers Resort on 16 June 2018, saw bakery students from all over the UK competing for sought-after trophies in categories from carved novelty cakes to fruit loaves. As well as taking part in the competitions, the students attended seminars on bakery techniques and networked with professionals in the industry.

Cooplands enjoyed widespread success, winning gold in 4 categories and taking home a total of 8 awards.

John Ruddock, Group Bakery Manager at Cooplands said “We are incredibly proud of our students and the hard work they have put into the competition. The standard of work this year has been very high and results speak for themselves.”
