A new and exciting role has been created for a Training Facilitator.
About us: Founded in 1885 – the company was founded in 1885 by Paul Cooplands’ Great Grandfather. Paul Coopland continues to support the business as a non-executive director on the board and the family are still involved in the business. Our CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Belinda Youngs joined the business in 2019 brining a wealth of Retail experience to support our future growth.
Job purpose: The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the training and upskill of retail colleagues, with particular focus on new stores. The individual will have responsibility for delivering mandatory, operational and development training to a high standard. Working with the operations teams to identify, plan and delivery the required training needs across the estate.
Key accountabilities:
- Liaising with operational teams to understand future training requirements.
- Planning and co-ordinating training interventions for retail colleagues
- Delivering training interventions across our retail estate with specific focus around the delivery of the induction training programme for all new starters ensuring success from the training environment to on-the-job
- Ensure the learning experience is positive, effectively managing participant discussion, addressing any questions ensuring the objectives of the training are achieved
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the training ensuring that any training gaps are identified, and appropriate actions/interventions put in place
- Completing training records and managing the administration for all inductions
Skills, know-how and experience:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience delivering training to group sizes of 1 – 20 people
- Ability to adapt training material to different group sizes
- Strong organisational, communication and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and deliver training material
Extensive travel will be required with this role which will involve some overnight stays, you will need to own your own vehicle and milage expenses will be paid. The working week will be 5 days over 7.
Salary: £20,000-£23,000 depending on experience.
